How is it possible that we are 2 months from my sweet little boy's first birthday? I am in denial folks!
This month was fantastic! The biggest highlight was definitely our trip to St. Maarten. Zeb had his first plane ride....rough on the way there with his teeth coming in, but a piece of cake on the way home. He loved looking out the window and playing with the tray table on the seat in front of him (and I'm sure the guy sitting in front of him loved that too).
His first time in the ocean was awesome. Our little dude loves the water! He couldn't get enough of playing in the ocean, crawling in the sand and splashing in the pool. He had a great time with his cousins too.
Zeben has picked up a few new silly tricks this month. He can make the motorboat sound with his mouth, which he now does constantly. He also can make a clicking sound that he thinks is hilarious (think of the noise you make when you are trying to sound like a clock). His favorite though is putting his finger up to his mouth and making a drumming noise. I swear it seems like every time a stranger stops to talk to him he instantly starts doing this to show off. Pretty funny!
He can also give "high fives" which daddy taught him how to do. He has started pointing to things a lot too lately. He'll sit on my lap and will point to my nose, my mouth or my eyes. He does it a lot with the lights on the ceiling.
Zeb will ask for "nanas" (bananas) now for breakfast. That is probably his favorite thing to eat. I have no idea where he got this, but his new favorite word is "gunga". He repeats it all the time while playing. I can't help but laugh because it sounds so funny. It was dead silent in church on Sunday and he very happily kept saying "gunga gunga gunga". Our whole section kept turning around and smiling because he was saying it so enthusiastically.
And since our little man is becoming more able to tell us what he likes/dislikes, here are some of his dislikes: avocados, sitting still to get his diaper changed, wearing his winter hat, when bathtime is cut short
